Here is the best place to join the summer; The Boathouse Restaurant.
The Boathouse Restaurant is located at Arbutus St at Vancouver.
You will be able to experience a very beautiful view no matter what season you come, because it is located near the Kitsilano beach. With a roof opening so that you can feel the nature by its best, by experiencing the warm sunlight of the sun.
Actually, I was recommended by an Italian friend who told me to go during the Happy Hour (3:00 pm ~ 6:00 pm). The experience is unforgettable which forces me to share it among others.
Cuisine that I’ve tried during the happy hour.
♦ Calamari for One
Personal Rating – 4.9 / 5.0
Calamari is made of deep fried squid. With two side sauces with sweet chili sauce and tzatziki. Tzatziki is a white Greek sauce that tastes a little sour and a little bit like yogurt. The collaboration of both calamari and the sauces were a taste I have tasted before. Squid is good to chew cause it is not tough. In my personal opinion, calamari is the best food to eat with beer.
♦ Ahi Tuna Tacos
Personal Rating – 3.7 / 5.0
Taco shells are fried really crunchy. Inside of the fried taco shells are fried rice, sliced fruits, tomatoes, and on top of them are tuna. A combination of crunchy taco shell and some soft tunas was really great in moisturizing your mouth. Moreover, the sauce inside of them, were refreshing.
♦ Molten Chocolate Brownie
Personal Rating – 4.5 / 5.0
The Brownie was bigger and thicker than I thought. This brownie was very thick in taste too, and inside of it, there were small chunks of chocolate. The cold and sweet vanilla ice cream was the topping to a warm thick brownie. As time went by, the ice cream started to melt slowly, and the brownie became sweeter. For people who like sweet treats, like me, will love this dessert.
